#Synology idrive review Pc
Recommended by PC Magazine I purchased IDrive Online Backup yesterday. In my opinion this company is not offering a good product and they are dishonest in refunding customer's money when their service does not work. I previously had CrashPlan and never had any issues. I have filed a complaint with the BBB and also have disputed the charge with my credit card company. I was told I could not get a refund after 15 days, which is crazy if their product doesn't work. This was 18 days after I purchased the service. I finally contacted support (via chat) and told them I wanted to cancel my service.
#Synology idrive review software
I have a 20 year IT background and made sure there was nothing restricting the software from the cloud service. I tried to get an initial backup for around 2 weeks. I had contacted their online support and was told to make sure that I had the latest version (which I did) and try again. I am backing up around 156 GB of files, so I am not going to leave my laptop running for a month. There seems to be in issue with their cloud service or software reconnecting after a computer reboot. I started an initial backup but found the backup timed out after the computer was rebooted. I purchased a 2 year subscription after seeing IDrive was rated #1 by PC Magazine. At my request they did issue a refund - which I believe is fair, and for that I upped my star rating to 3 for providing good customer service.īad product and dishonest customer service
UPDATE: Unfortunately, the Company did not solve the issues I was having with the product, nor did sr.
#Synology idrive review upgrade
Now I'm researching other services.I might even fork over the extra $$$ to upgrade to Crash Plan for small business.yeah, more expensive.but at least I know it works. tech (other than some generic emails telling me not to back up temp files, or windows folders, or program folders). The Idrive online tech support said they would refer me to the senior level tech.over a week ago.no response back from anyone stating they were a sr. If I can't back up my program files then what is the point of a back up service? I can easily save my personal files to Box or Dropbox much faster, easier and cheaper. They've had me reinstall the program a few times, check and uncheck various folders to back up or not back up.all to no avail. This program has been problematic from the start, e.g., frequently crashing, restarting, endless loop of "getting device list," or "retrying," not backing up all my files, very slow (5 days to back up 280gb).and then today.gotta love this.I tried to log in via the website.and I get an error message saying my account is under maintenance and therefore not available! I've reached out to their online tech support over the past two weeks to no avail. My experience couldn't have been more different. As a current (and soon to be former Crash Plan for home user) I signed up for Idrive, largely based on the positive reviews from. This is a review/comment that I posted on the PC Mag website that highly reviewed this service/product.
